“Having felt overwhelmed with my wife’s health concerns I was at my wits end.  Having just come from a bad experience with another nursing home I came to Clairidge based solely on their rating.  I immediately felt more at ease while talking to the social worker.  After three weeks, I am happy to highly recommend Clairidge House to anyone requiring a skilled nursing facility.  I will definitely be returning in the future for additional services.  While my wife’s stay here she received excellent rehabilitation therapy and skilled nursing care.  Even minor maintenance issues in her room were seen to immediately.  The food was excellent, there was adequate parking including multiple handicap spots, and the facility is very conveniently located.   When I first arrived the social worker supplied me with numerous resources both medical and financial to assist in our stay.  I was pleasantly surprised that when I first arrived, members from all departments came in to introduce themselves including the facility administrator which greatly put my mind at ease as to my wife’s care.” – Ronald R.

“Clairidge House is a caring place for rehab or for long term. The residents are happy for their friendships with staff and other residents.  It is their “home” away from home.” – Barb A.

“I looked at Clairidge House in Kenosha for my Dad’s needs after he suffered a life-threatening blood clot in his lungs which left him unable to do many things. Basically, he needs help doing just about everything. The Administrator at Clairidge House called me and said they would be able admit Dad. That news was a weight lifted off my shoulders. Being a smaller facility, I felt Dad would get the proper care and attention, and I wouldn’t need to drive from Illinois as often to check on him. Nursing homes really aren’t the happiest of places at times, but I can’t say how happy I have been. I have laughed and cried with many of the staff members. They truly care about your loved one and you as a person. It makes you feel part of their community. There are many examples that indicate my Dad feeling right at home at Clairidge. Small things show me that he is in good hands. For instance, they realized that my Dad like a more active atmosphere, so the moved him to the third floor, where Dad enjoys people watching, talking and telling jokes etc. I would recommend this facility to those that need help with taking care of a loved one. Don’t get suckered into the esthetic appeal of bigger places and what they promise in their brochures. Clairidge may be smaller and not as modern, yet, but it’s the care of the loved one you should be more concerned with rather than the curb appeal.” – Violetta K.
